Agreement
By using No Halo, creating an account, purchasing a credit or service, or starting research, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the service.
What No Halo provides
No Halo provides charity information, public-record summaries, automated analysis, Advisor Workspace tools, Deep Research reports, and optional professional diligence. Reports identify their sources, scope, date, and known limitations. Coverage varies because charities, regulators, courts, data providers, and other sources publish different amounts of information at different times.
Research is information, not professional advice
No Halo reports support donor judgment. They are not legal, tax, accounting, investment, or financial advice, and they do not guarantee that a charity is effective, lawful, financially sound, or suitable for a particular gift. You remain responsible for your giving decision and for obtaining professional advice when appropriate.
Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep access to your email account secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized use. You may not sell, share, or transfer an account or use another person's account without permission.
Research credits and billing
A research credit has the price and scope shown at checkout. One credit starts one fresh Deep Research investigation unless the purchase page states otherwise. Opening a free report, opening the Deep Research page, or viewing a completed report does not itself consume a credit. A credit is consumed only when you expressly confirm that fresh research should begin.
Credits have no cash value, are not legal tender, and may not be resold or transferred. Prices and credit packages may change for future purchases. Your payment is processed by Stripe and may also be subject to Stripe's terms. Refunds are governed by the refund and cancellation policy.
Advisor Workspace subscription
The Advisor Workspace is a monthly recurring subscription at the price shown at checkout, currently $149 per month after a 14-day trial. The current plan includes five seats, up to 50 portfolios, and unlimited portfolio CSV exports. Deep Research credits and professional services are not included.
By starting the trial, you authorize Stripe to collect the subscription price when the trial ends and on each monthly renewal until cancellation. You can manage billing and cancel through Stripe's secure Customer Portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid billing period. Subscription fees are governed by the refund and cancellation policy.
The account owner controls the subscription, seats, invitations, and portfolio ownership. Each seat is for an authorized individual. You may not exceed plan limits, share one login among multiple people, or use invitations to bypass seat controls. No Halo may restrict workspace access after cancellation, nonpayment, the expiration of any stated grace period, misuse, or termination.
Features and limits can change for future plan periods. If a material change affects an active paid plan, No Halo will provide reasonable notice when required. Dated reports, exported files, and copies already created remain subject to these terms even after workspace access ends.
Research timing and completion
Estimated completion times are estimates, not guarantees. Research may be delayed by source availability, provider failures, unusually complex records, or quality review. If a paid investigation ends in a technical failure before a usable report is completed, No Halo's normal remedy is to restore the consumed credit automatically.
Dated reports and changing facts
A report describes the evidence available through its stated research date. Charity finances, leadership, programs, litigation, regulation, public claims, and source availability can change later. A saved report remains the dated version originally produced. Starting fresh research creates a separate report rather than silently rewriting the archive.
Sharing a report
A completed Deep Research report remains private unless you deliberately create an unlisted share link. Anyone with that link can read the exact dated report without an account, and recipients may pass the link to others. The shared page does not identify the purchasing customer. You may revoke the link from the report, but revocation cannot retrieve copies or screenshots someone already saved.
You may share a report for personal, advisory, philanthropic, journalistic, or publication-related use so long as you preserve No Halo's authorship, completion date, context, sources, and qualifications. A customer-shared report is not automatically published in No Halo News and does not imply that No Halo endorses the customer's commentary or distribution.
Professional services
Analyst Review, Enhanced Diligence, and Major Gift Diligence may involve additional intake, scope, timing, deliverables, and customer cooperation. Any written engagement terms or accepted project scope supplement these terms and control if they directly conflict.
Fair use of the service
You may use reports for your own personal, household, business, advisory, or philanthropic decision-making. You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass access controls, scrape the service at scale, resell reports as your own product, use reports to harass or threaten people, or present a No Halo conclusion as current after you know material facts have changed.
Intellectual property
No Halo owns its site, report design, original analysis, methodology, and software, subject to rights in public records and third-party materials. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service and purchased reports for the purposes above. Charity names, logos, and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Corrections and responses
Readers and organizations may submit evidence through the corrections and right-of-reply process. No Halo may correct factual errors, add source material, or revise a current public report when the evidence changes. A disagreement with a supported conclusion does not require No Halo to remove or soften it.
Third-party services and links
No Halo links to charity websites, government records, payment services, and other third-party resources. Those services are controlled by others. No Halo is not responsible for their availability, security, content, or privacy practices.
Disclaimer of warranties
No Halo is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every source, report, or conclusion will be complete or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, No Halo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for a giving decision made in reliance on a report. No Halo's aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid No Halo for the affected product or service during the twelve months before the claim. These limitations do not apply where the law does not permit them.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risk, nonpayment, unlawful conduct, or a material violation of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including payment, intellectual-property, disclaimer, and liability provisions, remain in effect.
Ohio law
These terms are governed by Ohio law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Franklin County, Ohio, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
