Unused research credits
You may request a refund for unused research credits within 14 days of purchase. If a multi-credit purchase has been partially used, any approved refund for the remaining unused credits will be calculated from the effective per-credit price paid in that purchase. Refunds return to the original payment method.
When a credit becomes used
A credit is not used when you search, open a free report, visit a Deep Research page, or review a completed report. A credit becomes used when you expressly confirm that No Halo should start a fresh Deep Research investigation and the job is accepted.
Failed or incomplete research
If a paid investigation ends in a technical failure before a usable report is completed, No Halo normally restores the credit automatically. A restored credit can be used for another fresh investigation. If the same investigation cannot be completed after a reasonable retry, contact us to request a refund to the original payment method.
A report is not incomplete merely because a desired fact is unavailable. A responsible report may conclude that evidence was not found, could not be verified, or does not support a confident answer. Those evidence limitations are part of the research result.
Completed Deep Research reports
Completed research is generally non-refundable because the research service has been performed and the dated report remains available in your account. Disagreement with a conclusion, an unfavorable finding, or a charity's limited public disclosure does not by itself qualify for a refund.
If a report has a material technical defect that prevents it from opening, displaying, or downloading, contact us. We will first try to restore access or correct the technical defect. If we cannot provide a usable report, we will restore the credit or issue an appropriate refund.
Advisor Workspace trial and subscription
The Advisor Workspace begins with a 14-day trial and then renews monthly at the price shown at checkout, currently $149 per month, unless you cancel before the trial ends. The current plan includes five seats, up to 50 portfolios, and unlimited portfolio CSV exports. Deep Research credits and professional services are separate purchases.
You may cancel through Stripe's secure Customer Portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid billing period, and access continues through the effective cancellation date. Subscription fees already charged are generally non-refundable except when required by law or when No Halo confirms a duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charge. Canceling the subscription does not refund separately purchased research credits or completed professional work.
If a payment fails, No Halo may provide a limited grace period while billing is corrected. Workspace access may be restricted after that period. Updating a payment method does not create a second subscription when the existing subscription can be recovered.
Professional services
Analyst Review, Enhanced Diligence, and Major Gift Diligence may be cancelled for a full refund before work begins. After work begins, any refund depends on the work already performed, costs incurred, and the accepted project scope. A separate written engagement agreement controls if it provides different cancellation terms.
Duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges
Contact us promptly if you see a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, or a purchase you did not authorize. We will review the account and payment record and correct confirmed billing errors. Your bank or card issuer may impose separate reporting deadlines for unauthorized transactions.
How to request a refund
Email hello@nohaloresearch.com from the address associated with your No Halo account. Include the purchase date and a brief explanation. Do not email card numbers or other sensitive payment details.
Approved card refunds may take several business days to appear, depending on Stripe, your bank, and the payment method.
