Schultz Family Foundation and King County announce planned $20 million youth-housing partnership
King County announced that it and the Schultz Family Foundation intend to commit $10 million each over three years to support 92 youth-designated shelter and transitional-housing units. The county described 80 as net new units and 12 as existing units at risk of closing without the funding.

Donor relevance
Why this matters
If implemented, the partnership would both prevent the loss of youth-housing capacity and create 80 additional units in a county reporting substantial youth homelessness. The size and multiyear nature of the foundation's commitment make this a material program-delivery development.
