WOWT reports Furniture Project Omaha is furnishing homes for flood survivors at no cost

WOWT reported that Furniture Project Omaha expanded its furniture-bank work to households recovering from the September 30 Omaha flood while continuing to serve veterans, domestic-violence survivors and other families pursuing stable housing. The nonprofit's 10-person team works with hundreds of referring agencies without charging families or agencies. The organization said it has helped about 6,000 families during the past five years.

Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.

Donor relevance

Why this matters

Furniture is a substantial and often overlooked recovery need after a disaster. The charity's established collection and distribution network appears capable of addressing that need without charging affected households or partner agencies.
