Omaha’s Furniture Project expands assistance to families displaced by September flooding

WOWT reported that Furniture Project Omaha began furnishing homes for people affected by Omaha’s September 30 flood while continuing to serve veterans, domestic-violence survivors and other households pursuing stable housing. A city official said local nonprofits are entering what may be a two-year recovery period. The organization said its 10-person team works with hundreds of referring agencies at no cost to families or agencies and has assisted about 6,000 families during the past five years.

Donor relevance

Why this matters
