Polk County commissioners removed CareerSource Polk's CEO and entire board after an outside review
Polk County commissioners voted 3-2 on October 6 to remove President and CEO Stacy Campbell-Domineck and then voted unanimously to remove CareerSource Polk's board. An outside consultant's September report found two allegations supported and two partially supported but did not recommend whether the CEO should remain. The county's removal resolution cited neglect of duty, gross mismanagement, waste and lack of performance.
Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.
Donor relevance
Why this matters
Removing both the chief executive and the full governing board is an unusually significant intervention at a federally funded workforce nonprofit. It creates immediate leadership and oversight risk but also represents a major corrective step by the county.
