Samaritan's Purse official tells WNCW that 371 Helene-affected families have returned to repaired or rebuilt homes

The charity had approved more than 750 repair and rebuilding projects across western North Carolina, upstate South Carolina and eastern Tennessee and remained active two years after the storm.

Donor relevance
Why this matters
Returning hundreds of displaced families to permanent homes is a substantial, measurable recovery result. The continuing work also shows the long duration and scale of post-disaster housing needs.
