Atlanta Community Food Bank rapidly allocates roughly 300,000 donated meals to local partners
CBS Atlanta reported that the Atlanta Community Food Bank received more than 38,000 pounds of packaged food, estimated by the organization at about 300,000 meals, following a large volunteer meal-packing effort. Food-bank vice president Jon West said partner organizations ordered the entire shipment within three hours and expected to begin distributing it across metro Atlanta within a week.
