University-prepared evaluation reports Catholic Charities housing initiative met its three primary goals

Catholic Charities USA released an evaluation prepared by Delaware State University researchers covering Healthy Housing Initiative pilots in Detroit, Las Vegas, Portland, Spokane and St. Louis. The reported results included a 46% decline in emergency-room visits, a 60% decline in hospital stays, primary-care connections for 86% of clients and behavioral-health connections for 37%. The evaluation estimated $4.91 million in savings among 402 surveyed clients during their first six months of housing.

Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.
