Partners in Nutrition agrees to pay $18.5 million and dissolve to settle Minnesota false-claims allegations

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced a consent judgment resolving the state’s claims that Partners in Nutrition, doing business as Partners in Quality Care, knowingly submitted false claims involving federal child-nutrition funds. The nonprofit agreed to pay $18,517,909.27, described as all funds remaining in its possession, provide additional records and permanently dissolve. The settlement resolves claims against the organization, but not potential liability involving its officers, employees, site operators or vendors.
