Partners in Nutrition agrees to $18.5 million settlement and dissolution over Minnesota false-claims allegations

Partners in Nutrition, also doing business as Partners in Quality Care, agreed to pay $18,517,909.27, produce additional records and permanently dissolve under a consent judgment with the Minnesota Attorney General. The settlement resolves the state's civil claims that the nonprofit submitted false child-nutrition reimbursement claims and failed to provide effective oversight. Investigations of individuals, vendors and site operators remain open.

Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.

Donor relevance

Why this matters

The agreement requires the nonprofit to surrender all funds reported to remain in its possession and cease operating. The recovered money is to be returned through the Minnesota Department of Education to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
