Georgia attorney general sues SDG Impact Fund, alleging charitable assets paid personal expenses

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr filed a Fulton County Superior Court complaint against SDG Impact Fund, its alleged successor SDG Global Impact Fund, Executive Director Anthony Suber and former board member Bryan Doreian. The complaint alleges that charitable assets were distributed unlawfully, donors were misled and donations paid expenses including vacations, mortgages, car loans, private-school tuition, sporting-event suites and personal purchases. The state seeks contributor restitution, civil penalties and appointment of a receiver.

Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.

Donor relevance

Why this matters

The allegations concern stewardship of donor-advised charitable assets and whether money donors designated for charitable beneficiaries was diverted. A receiver could place the organizations’ assets under court-supervised management.
