Georgia attorney general alleges SDG Impact Fund diverted charitable assets and misled donors

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr filed a Fulton County Superior Court complaint against SDG Impact Fund, its successor entity and two leaders. The complaint alleges that defendants used charitable donations for personal expenses, solicited contributions without legal authorization and concealed regulatory noncompliance. The state seeks restitution, civil penalties and appointment of a receiver.

Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.

Donor relevance

Why this matters

The allegations directly concern whether assets entrusted for donor-selected charitable purposes reached beneficiaries. A receivership or shutdown could materially affect outstanding donor-advised accounts and intended grants.

What remains unverified

No Halo has not established that the alleged diversions or misrepresentations occurred. No final judgment or finding of liability was located, and the location and recoverability of disputed charitable assets remain unresolved.
