Georgia attorney general sues SDG Impact Fund, alleging charitable assets were diverted and donors misled

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr filed a Fulton County Superior Court complaint against SDG Impact Fund, its reported successor SDG Global Impact Fund, executive director Anthony Suber and a former board member. The complaint alleges that charitable assets were used for personal expenses, that donors were misled and that contributions were solicited without required authorization. The state seeks restitution, civil penalties and appointment of a receiver to control and examine the assets. The allegations have not been adjudicated.

Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.

Donor relevance

Why this matters

The filing moves earlier media reports and state investigations into formal litigation that could place the charity's assets under court control, produce restitution for contributors and stop continued solicitation. Donors should distinguish the state's detailed allegations from proven findings while the case proceeds.

Organization response

Before the lawsuit, Anthony Suber told WSB-TV that SDG earned about 5% of the assets it managed and that much of those earnings would ultimately go to him. No response from SDG Impact Fund or the other defendants addressing the September 25 complaint was located in the consulted material.
