Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.
Donor relevance
Why this matters
Small repairs and accessibility work can help older adults, people with disabilities, lower-income households and single parents remain safely housed. The program converts volunteer labor into direct housing-preservation assistance.
Attribution
Who reported or established this
WBAY reported the project counts and interviewed NeighborWorks Green Bay community outreach coordinator Vicki Bokelman about the people served and the purpose of the work.
Evidence limits
What remains unverified
No Halo has not independently confirmed completion of all 23 projects, calculated the value of donated labor and materials or measured whether the work prevented displacement or produced lasting safety improvements.
Right of reply
Organization response
Bokelman said the nonprofit targets homeowners facing financial, health, disability or family barriers that make property maintenance difficult and aims to help them remain in accessible, maintained homes.
