Homefull resumes Springfield emergency shelter operations

Homefull opened an emergency shelter in Springfield's former fire station five on May 22. Initial services were limited to people previously served by Sheltered Inc. Funding includes an $853,758 one-year city contract and just under $400,000 in county assistance. Broader intake was planned after hiring and training.

Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.

Donor relevance

Why this matters

The expansion restores Homefull's presence in Springfield and provides replacement shelter capacity after another provider closed.
