Federal judge dismissed donor’s fraud allegations against Sean Feucht Ministries but allowed an amended complaint
MinistryWatch reported that U.S. District Judge David O. Carter dismissed four claims arising from a $250,000 donation to the Let Us Worship tour. Donor S.R. Bray alleged that the gift was fraudulently solicited and diverted or commingled. The judge found that the complaint did not plead sufficient supporting facts, but the dismissal allowed the donor 21 days to amend. The judge also rejected the ministry’s argument that church autonomy categorically barred the fraud lawsuit.
Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.
Donor relevance
Why this matters
The ruling weakens the current version of a donor-misrepresentation lawsuit, but it is not an exoneration or a final merits decision because an amended complaint remains possible.
