Prince George’s leaders request return of $7.6 million from Edward Charles Foundation and seek independent review

Prince George’s County Executive Aisha Braveboy and County Council Chair Krystal Oriadha requested that the Edward Charles Foundation return $7.6 million in public funds while the county addresses reported deficiencies in its grant process. The California-based foundation served as fiscal sponsor for Community on the Frontline, a Prince George’s organization led by a person Oriadha has publicly described as her best friend. Braveboy also requested an independent county audit examining use of the money and any fees charged by the foundation. No wrongdoing has been established.
