Arts Alive says it will wind down operations after more than 15 years

Arts Alive announced that it is preparing to close because of financial strain, according to local reporting. The Keene-area arts nonprofit said its executive director position has already been eliminated and one employee will remain part time during the wind-down. Reported pressures included reduced local support, the withdrawal of a previously awarded $25,000 federal arts grant and the organization's decision not to accept another anticipated federal grant because of its conditions.
