Rare and partners launch an outcomes-payment facility for community-led ocean conservation
Rare, the Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance and Levoca announced Deep Blue, a facility intended to secure outcome funding early and help finance portfolios of community-led ocean conservation projects. The partners said the model builds on a five-year impact bond that mobilized $2.1 million in upfront investment against as much as $6 million in outcome funding for work across 31 villages in Southeast Sulawesi.
