Bartlett Center board votes to dissolve nonprofit after citing its financial and operational condition

The Bartlett Center board adopted a resolution to dissolve the St. Joseph nonprofit, effective September 25. The decision came one week after executive director LaTonya Williams' employment ended. The board said the organization's financial condition and operational status made dissolution in the community's interest and said available funds would be used to discharge debts and liabilities.

Donor relevance

Why this matters

Dissolution ends a long-running provider of childcare, youth programming and community outreach. Donors and service users face questions about remaining liabilities, asset distribution and continuity of programs.
