The Action Center announces 107,000-square-foot shared-service campus intended to increase capacity
The Action Center publicly announced that its expanded Lakewood home will be called the Daylight Collective as construction passed the halfway point. The project is converting a former elementary school into a 107,000-square-foot community campus, with 82,000 square feet currently under renovation and a separate 7,000-square-foot food storage and distribution building. Plans call for an expanded no-cost food and clothing market, health and behavioral-health services, workforce and education support, benefits assistance and shared community space. The organization projects that the new Family Zone will increase its service capacity by at least 30%.

Donor relevance
Why this matters
The campus represents a major physical and program expansion for a regional basic-needs charity and is designed to reduce the need for families to navigate multiple disconnected providers. The project may materially increase service capacity and create a durable shared-service model for Jefferson County.
