Action Center announces major Lakewood campus expansion intended to increase service capacity
Construction passed the halfway point on the Action Center’s planned Daylight Collective campus in Lakewood. The project is converting a former school into a 107,000-square-foot community hub combining food, clothing, health, workforce, education and benefit-access services. Project representatives said the larger food and clothing market and new family area are intended to increase the charity’s service capacity by at least 30%.

Donor relevance
Why this matters
The project would materially enlarge a regional basic-needs charity and place multiple public and nonprofit services at one location, potentially reducing barriers for families who currently must visit several providers.
