WayPoint Resources buys larger Waukee facility after local demand grows

WayPoint Resources purchased a roughly 9,400-square-foot building in Waukee and launched a $3.2 million campaign to renovate and open it by spring 2027. Independent local reporting said the facility will nearly double the nonprofit’s space. The organization reported that annual household visits grew from 92 in 2005 to more than 6,600 in 2025 and that more than $2.3 million had already been committed to the project.

Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.

Donor relevance

Why this matters

The project would expand food, clothing and free medical services in a fast-growing part of central Iowa while moving the charity out of a church basement. Donors should watch construction costs, remaining campaign needs and whether expanded capacity produces measurable service improvements.
