WayPoint Resources says it purchased a larger facility and raised $2.3 million toward expansion
WayPoint Resources announced the purchase of a roughly 9,400-square-foot property in Waukee and a $3.2 million capital campaign to renovate and equip it. The charity said more than $2.3 million had been secured during the campaign’s quiet phase. The new facility is expected to nearly double available space and consolidate food, clothing, health and support services.

Donor relevance
Why this matters
The property purchase and advanced fundraising represent a significant capital commitment and potential service-capacity increase. The remaining campaign balance, renovation costs and execution timetable create continuing financial and construction risk.
