Wounded Warrior Project said record Women Warriors Summit brought more than 100 veterans to congressional offices

According to Wounded Warrior Project, more than 100 women veterans attended its September 21-24 Women Warriors Summit and met with more than 120 congressional offices. The charity said participants represented 48 states and every military branch, and that attendance had doubled since 2023. Advocacy priorities included proposed measures concerning women-veteran research, mammography access, military sexual trauma survivors, veteran mothers and midlife health care.

Donor relevance

Why this matters

The reported record participation and engagement with more than 120 congressional offices indicate expanded national advocacy capacity for women veterans. The summit's meetings, however, are not evidence that the proposed legislation will pass or produce policy changes.
