DOJ says NYU Langone agreement resolves federal investigation; hospital denies the allegations
The U.S. Department of Justice announced that NYU Langone Hospitals agreed to stop providing specified gender-transition drugs and procedures to minors and pay $8.5 million. DOJ said the agreement resolved an investigation into potential violations of federal health-care, drug and false-claims laws. The department expressly stated that the resolved claims were allegations only and that there was no determination of liability. NYU denied all allegations.
