People's Arc of Suffolk opens fifth community-based day-program site for adults with developmental disabilities
People's Arc of Suffolk opened a Program Without Walls location in East Islip on September 21. Adults age 21 and older use the location as a base for volunteering, recreation and supported participation in nearby businesses and public spaces rather than remaining in a large congregate day facility. A sixth site is scheduled to open in Lake Grove in October.
Status matters. This page records a sourced development, not a completed No Halo investigation. An allegation is not a finding. Dismissals, settlements, judgments, corrections and final outcomes remain distinct.
