IMPACCT Brooklyn took control of 57 affordable apartments through state-backed preservation deal
The New York Attorney General announced that IMPACCT Brooklyn acquired four Bedford-Stuyvesant buildings containing 57 affordable apartments after intervention in the former owner’s bankruptcy. The former nonprofit owner had sought to sell the properties to a commercial buyer to address debt without required approvals. IMPACCT became the new owner and manager and committed to rehabilitating the buildings while keeping all units affordable, with support from state and city housing agencies.
